G-Unit

G-Unit (Gorilla Unit) é um grupo de hip hop criado desde o início da carreira de 50 Cent.



A G-Unit começou quando os amigos de infância 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks e Tony Yayo, ligados pelas ruas e pelo tráfico de drogas decidiram formar um grupo. O grupo lançou várias fitas de mixagens que fizeram sucesso nas ruas de Nova Iorque. Depois de terem chamado atenção, 50 Cent assinou contrato com a Aftermath, mas antes do grupo gravar seu primeiro álbum, Tony Yayo foi preso por porte ilegal de arma.

Durante a pena de Yayo, 50 colocou Young Buck no grupo. Com o sucesso de seu primeiro álbum Get Rich or Die Tryin, 50 abriu sua própria gravadora, a G-Unit Records, e a G-Unit lançou seu primeiro álbum, Beg for Mercy. Porém, no ano de 2007, Young Buck se desentendeu com 50 Cent e acabou saindo do grupo. No ano seguinte, a G-Unit lançou seu segundo álbum, Terminate on Sight.
